As a common packaging material, industrial-grade OPP plastic bags are widely used in many fields due to their flat surface, good transparency and convenient processing characteristics. In addition to packaging and display functions, people are paying more and more attention to its moisture-proof, dust-proof and anti-static properties, especially in industries such as electronics, medicine, food and precision industries, where the packaging environment is relatively higher.
From the perspective of moisture resistance, OPP material itself is a polypropylene bidirectional stretch film, which has strong density. In conventional environments, it can effectively isolate external moisture into the bag, which is especially critical for storing dry items or preventing moisture from affecting product structure. However, it should be noted that although the material itself has a certain ability to block water vapor, its sealing properties often depend on the sealing method. If the bag body is not sealed tightly, or there are tiny gaps in the edge seal, then no matter how good the material is, it cannot completely prevent moisture from penetration.
The dustproof ability depends more on the overall closing performance of the bag and the electrostatic state of the material surface. The surface of OPP plastic bags is smooth and dust is not easy to adhere. At the same time, their sealing properties can also prevent tiny particles in the air from entering the bag, which is highly practical when storing commodities that are susceptible to contaminants. However, if the bag is opened and closed frequently during use, or the clean working environment cannot be maintained during processing, the bag may still be contaminated by external dust.
As for anti-static function, this performance is not naturally available in all OPP plastic bags. Traditional OPP materials are prone to accumulation of static electricity during friction or transportation, which not only causes dust absorption, but may also cause damage to certain sensitive electronic components. In order to overcome this problem, many industrial-grade products currently add antistatic agents to raw materials, or improve their antistatic ability through surface treatment processes. The OPP bag body with anti-static function usually has a low surface resistance and can better suppress static electricity accumulation under normal temperature conditions, thereby reducing the occurrence of dust adhesion and electrostatic discharge. When choosing, enterprises need to confirm whether such antistatic materials have been used according to specific needs.
Industrial-grade OPP plastic bags have certain basic properties in terms of moisture and dust resistance, and their anti-static functions need to be achieved through modification or special treatment. In practical applications, it should be reasonably matched and selected based on specific product characteristics, storage environment and transportation requirements. At the same time, proper operating specifications and supporting packaging methods are also important guarantees to improve the overall usage effect. If users have higher requirements for a certain function, it is recommended to clearly state to the supplier before purchasing to confirm whether the relevant performance indicators meet the standards to ensure that the material performance meets the actual use scenarios.
